Steak & Shake

Steak & Shake is running a TV ad promoting that their prices are “set in stone” for 2012.

Advertising is supposed to motivate people to act.

Announcing that the prices will be the same for the rest of the year is equivalent to saying “no rush, take your time”.  Not to mention the fact that absolutely no one will be impressed that a fast food restaurant isn’t raising prices on $3 burgers.  How much could they raise the price anyway? A quarter? Would that be enough to prevent anyone who likes their food from patronizing them?  Most people probably couldn’t quote the price of a fast food item unless it was something like 99 cents.  So what’s the point?

I take full responsibility for my own opinions, comments and slurs against asshats.  I'm just another guy with just another opinion. Although, I may be turning into my father who my mother always said was 'the world's foremost authority."
